I want to generate a list of all businesses of a certain type within a defined area. In ProspectSafari I can define the business type and select the area using the map, but how can I be sure it finds ALL the businesses in that area and not just a limited selection?

Unlike competitors like Apollo, Lusha, etc, ProspectSafari is designed to get close to 100% coverage of businesses within a defined area. We ran tests that show that on typical searches (actual searches run by our customers) we achieve over 95% coverage vs Apollo’s 5-15%.

In List view, select ADD /  Company Search. Add the business type (you can add more than one and are not limited to the proposed typical types) and select how many results you want (up to 500). The final thing is to specify the precise area by positioning a square on the map.

Clearly if you aim for full coverage you need to select an area that has fewer target businesses than the max limit you specified. When you click to proceed, the system proceeds to execute the search. Sophisticated algorithms are used to subdivide the area into smaller and smaller areas. So long as a subdivision yields results is is further subdivided. This technique means that a square encompassing a city and surrounding countryside will find remote businesses but concentrate the search in the city centre.

Provided the  max results setting is greater than the expected number of target businesses in the specified map box, then close to 100% coverage is attained.
